Hey, On another entry you asked how to go from slow to fast?

If you're using FL Studio, go to the little tempo window at the top and right click, and create a automation clip.

Then play around with that :D

Dude! Thank you soo much!! thats amazing! hehe i'm kinda new at Fl studio.. Your song Shiny Things is pretty amazing for like a 30 second song.. teach me how to get good? :D

:P Thanks. But honestly i've only had Fruity Loops for a few weeks lol. Here's a good tip though: Learn how to use Maximus if you don't already. it's a vst effect that you add to the master channel in the mixer. It makes EVERYTHING sound 10x better.

Other than that, just look up a bunch of youtube videos to learn what you need. Also download some free VSTi's. Other than the 3xOsc, FL Studio has some pretty crappy built-in synths :/

Let me know how things go, i'll be watching your submissions :D

Maximus? Never heard of it.. is it free? does it come with fl studio?
And yeahh I've been trying to find good VST's.. if you find any good sounding ones.. maybe you can send me the link? :D thanks so much man! (and i'll be watching your submissions aswell) :P

Hey Jason, I just wanted to say, I will be downloading ALL of your music, I've done this for a couple of artists (including or4anges) and, well, its extremely epic.
Keep up the good work bro!

Wow! Thanks so much! I'm glad people like my music! Comments like this make me happy :3 hehe Thanks again man! I'll try my best to keep it up :]

Just riffing off of Or4nges.

Maximus is best used as a mixing/mastering tool, so don't use it in the mixer itself when working on a song. It's best used after you've produced a song, bounced it to a .wav or .aiff, whatever conversion method and audio format suits you, and do the mastering right there using a few different vsts. As for the built-in synthesizers that FL Studio has, they are not all that bad. You just need to know how to use them correctly to get some real good sounds out of them. It's all about the workflow and your knowledge about them. Best thing: just toy around with 'em. I've found that SimSynth is a great additive / subtractive synth, especially when creating chords AND sub-basses.

Dude.. You are so awesome. You my friend have helped me so much. I saved that long "essay" you wrote to me and i read it before i make my music.. so i can make the best i can. You should like do tutorial video's on youtube and stuff! You'd get alot of views and help alot of people!! :D Thanks man. Your a great inspiration and thank you so much for helping me.. could you take a look at my latest song and tell me how i could improve? That would mean alot. Thanks again!
~Jason

Sure man. I'll take a look.

In response to your response:

Not necessarily making one song out of just one melody but one melody that has slight variations to it when recreated. That's all it takes to take out the majority of the repetition that one can experience from a track. Having too many melodies in one track can distort the original theme that you were aiming for, thus leaving a potential listener put off by the track.

Take my track, "Stand Alone" for example. There's only one melody, and the driving motions are mainly the drums, but then the drums take a back seat, and the next driving motion are the strings, then the strings take the back set, and then comes the bass, and then the driving motion comes back to the melody. Everything needs to have a turn, don't get me wrong, but they all must share their ideals in accordances with the theme of your song.

moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooo

Hi there! thanks for the amazing comment! Maybe check out my music? haha

perhaps i shall....O.o

Hahah thank you (:
